Project Information
Häagen-Dazs is a luxury ice cream brand from New York, USA. We alongside Tastonic worked on a retail experience like no other. The space at Häagen-Dazs Jaipur was envisioned to not just serve ice creams and provide seating spaces, but to experience ice creams, and be a space that promotes conversations over ice cream.
Adhering to the strict Häagen-Dazs branding & design guidelines, and still making the space acoustically pleasant, we took the approach of invisible acoustics. Scattered in different spaces in the store, hiding behind common materials are the SPro Custom Broadband Panels working through micro-perforations.
The glass facade was built out of acoustic glass with precise construction to reduce the traffic noise from the busy street the store faces. The result is an STC 45+ partition keeping the hustle-bustle out. The store is quiet enough to ease across-the-table conversations and the localized absorption helps keep the conversation to that specific table. We also designed the AV for a no dead zone, no point source, and uniformly spread sound system.
