A small, private project studio for a doctor turned musician, the red velvet studio is themed after doc’s favorite indulgence.
This single room space is mostly used for recordings, jamming, and listening to music. The space is insulated with 300kg of MLV and majorly treated with SPro Custom Series Broadband Acoustic Panels. Due to the small size of the room, the modal builup was high and uneven spaced. Beneath the two tier desk and incorporated in the ceiling cloud is the SPro Custom Targeted Low Frequency Absorber flattening out the modal builup. To increase the perception of space, the sidewalls are treated with part diffusive and part absorptive fluted wood panels and the backwall is treated with a SPro Deco Folded Well QRD Diffuser, covered with a themed artwork and black trim frame.
The custom matched furniture was designed and built in red & white leatherette. The RT60 of the room is less than 0.25 sec
